Amie's dad, Fred, was playing Jesus in a play at church on Sunday. She had seen her dad with the wig on, but not the full beard yet. Tamara, Amie's mom, and Amie were sitting in church watching the play. Jesus (played by Fred) came on the stage.
Here is the dialogue that went on between them:
Tamara: Amie, who is that? (pointing at Jesus a.k.a. Fred)
Amie: (in very excited voice) That's Daddy!
(A few moments pass)
Amie: (still excited) That's Jesus!
(A few more moments pass)
Amie: (very excited) My Daddy is Jesus!
Of course there's a lesson to be learned here from this precious 2 1/2 year old. I mean, Jesus is our Daddy, but how often do we get excited about that fact?
